Racing Victoria will roll out an owners digital ticketing platform, with plans to have an all-encompassing phone and desktop app to access mounting yard and hospitality entitlements on race day in phase two of the project.
The app will allow owners to access and share their digital ticketing when attending a race meeting at any track in Victoria and it replaces the gold card which has been in place for many years.
Registered owners to receive communication from RV in the next fortnight on how to access their digital ticketing with the race day entitlements enhancement expected to be brought in after the spring carnival.
“A centralised digital ticketing platform is an important step forward for racehorse owners and will significantly improve and simplify their race day experience when fully operational," RV chief executive Aaron Morrison said.
The project is being delivered in partnership with the Thoroughbred Racehorse Owners Association (TROA) and with the support of the Victoria Racing Club (VRC), Melbourne Racing Club (MRC), Moonee Valley Racing Club (MVRC), Country Racing Victoria (CRV) and Southside Racing.
It has been funded by the state government’s Victorian Racing Industry Fund.
