All thoroughbred meetings in Western Australia will be broadcast on 7Plus after Racing WA and the network agreed to a multi-year partnership.

WA race days run from Wednesday to Sunday and the digital coverage will be introduced in September.

The agreement with Seven involved a collaborative effort between Racing WA, Perth Racing and the Western Australian Provincial Thoroughbred Racing Association.

“This partnership with Seven marks a fantastic opportunity for the WA racing industry,” Racing and Wagering Western Australia chief executive Ian Edwards said.

“We are excited to be partnered with Seven to enhance the visibility of WA racing and further showcase our state’s racing to a wider audience than ever before.”

Coverage of all race meetings will include extensive pre-race and post-race analysis from WA form experts.

As well as 7plus, West Australian thoroughbred meetings will also be streamed via racingwa.com.au and RWWA’s TABtouch mobile app.

“Seven’s live and free racing coverage currently spans 52 weekends of the year, and we are thrilled to further our already extensive race day offering with every WA thoroughbred race meeting,” Seven’s commercial director - sport, Renee Quirk said.

“With WA race days from Wednesday through to Sunday, on top of Seven’s weekly Saturday racing coverage, viewers need to look no further than Seven and 7plus for gold standard Australian racing.”

The deal will start from September 16.
