Winter wet weather continues to cause headaches for New South Wales racing with a key set of trials scheduled at Rosehill on Tuesday transferred to Friday.

The trial session was initially set for Monday but having been moved back 24 hours, the decision was made to postpone it again.

“Due to significant and continuing rainfall the Rosehill tracks are unsuitable for trialling on Tuesday (12th August),” a Racing NSW statement said.

“Consequently, Tuesday's barrier trials at Rosehill have been put back to Friday (15th August).

“New nominations will be taken and close at 11am on Tuesday 12th August with preference given to all horses that were in the original fields.”

It comes after Monday’s meeting at Lismore was abandoned following 40mm of rain in the area on the weekend.

Saturday’s NSW meetings at Randwick, Louth and Casino were all abandoned.

Two meetings in Queensland, at Cunnamulla and Gladstone, were abandoned on Saturday.
