2026 Inglis Classic catalogue released
Inglis Bloodstock chief executive Sebastian Hutch believes the company’s Classic Yearling Sale continues to punch above its weight.

The catalogue for the 2026 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale has been released, with 798 lots set to go under the hammer at Riverside Stables in Sydney from February 8 to 10.
Yearlings by 113 sires make up the book, including leading stallions Extreme Choice, Snitzel, I Am Invincible, Zoustar, Too Darn Hot, Wootton Bassett, Written Tycoon, and Street Boss, as well as a deep roster of emerging names.
Fourteen first-season sires are represented, among them Anamoe, Artorius, Best of Bordeaux, Hitotsu, In The Congo, Jacquinot, Profondo and Top Ranked.
Seventy-four vendors will present yearlings, the vast majority eligible for state-based incentive schemes BOBS, VOBIS Silver, QTIS, Racing Rewards SA or Westspeed bonuses.
The Classic Sale has produced 24 Group 1 winners since 2018, including recent top-level performers Pride Of Jenni ($100,000), Sepals ($80,000), Private Harry ($115,000) and Skybird ($110,000). Hong Kong star Voyage Bubble, a Triple Crown winner, is another notable graduate.
Since 2018, Classic graduates have notched 531 Hong Kong wins from 199 individual horses, and the sale has produced 41 millionaires.
The sale’s influence extends to the stallion barn, with former graduates such as Extreme Choice, I Am Invincible, Choisir, Hellbent, Castelvecchio and Brazen Beau now established sires.
Inglis Bloodstock chief executive Sebastian Hutch said the depth of the 2026 catalogue reflected the confidence of breeders.
“Classic doesn’t need to be ‘sold’ to breeders or vendors anymore, it’s a sale that they want to be involved in and so the quality of yearlings in the sale improves year after year,” Hutch said.
“It’s a sale that attracts a very cosmopolitan buying bench and we feel having a well-diversified catalogue is particularly important, so to have 113 individual sires and 74 individual vendors represented is a very pleasing outcome.
“The Classic sale continues to produce some of the biggest names in the thoroughbred world in Australia, New Zealand Hong Kong especially and we have every confidence that the 2026 renewal contains any number of top-class performers of the future.
“The success of graduates was in evidence as recently as last weekend when Revengeance became the second consecutive winner of the $1m Golden Gift to graduate from the Classic Sale following the win of North England in 2024, while the past two winners of the $2m Inglis Millennium are also both Classic graduates in Fully Lit and Rivellino.
“We are excited by the ongoing upward trajectory of the sale and are looking to welcoming a massive contingent of clients and friends to Riverside in February.”
