Shares on offer in Overpass and Within The Law in latest MM Digital sale

Shares in three Group winning horses with major summer and autumn carnival targets headline the catalogue for the latest Magic Millions Digital Sale which is now open for bidding.

The December 5–10 auction features 45 lots, led by stakes in Overpass, Within the Law and Blitzburg. A 5 per cent share in Overpass, runner-up in last weekend’s Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes at Ascot, offers buyers the rare chance to join a horse set to contest next week’s $1.5 million Gold Rush in Perth.

“To have the opportunity to buy a share in a horse that ran second in a Group One less than a week ago and is planning to run in a $1.5 million race within a week is a very exciting proposition,” Magic Millions head of digital Bryce Bevan said.

The catalogue also includes two further shares (5 per cent and 2.5 per cent) in Group 2 winner and dual Group 1 placegetter Within the Law, after 11.5 per cent of the filly sold at the previous digital sale.

A 2 per cent share in Group 3 Canonbury Stakes winner Blitzburg, who is being set for a summer campaign by Michael Freedman, is also offered.

Freedman’s promising Snitzel colt Decorum, last-start winner at Newcastle, is another expected drawcard through a 2.5 per cent share.

Recent WA winner Why Me and the consistent Intruder headline the racehorse section, while the broodmare draft features Klum, a sister to Canterbury trial winner Campione D’Italia, offered with a filly at foot and back in foal to Officiating. Stakes performer Ghobella, in foal to Maschino, is another notable entry.

Bidding is now open and lots begin closing from midday Queensland time on Wednesday, December 10.
