Coolmore pays tribute to the late Michael Knightly
Coolmore is mourning the death of Michael Knightly, a long-serving member of its Ireland-based media and marketing business Primus, who played a key role in the branding and communications of the Magnier family’s renowned breeding and racing empire.
Knightly, who worked for Primus for 26 years, was widely regarded for his contribution to the promotion of the Coolmore brand and his influence across the bloodstock industry.
Paying tribute, John Magnier said: “Michael brought an unmatched commitment and standard to everything he touched. We were very fortunate to have had him as part of our team. His contribution to Coolmore was exceptional and his impact on our business will not be forgotten.”
Coolmore said Knightly’s influence extended beyond his professional work, describing him as a trusted colleague, mentor and friend who also made significant contributions to his local and sporting communities.
Knightly is survived by his wife, Áine, and sons, Alec and Sammy.
