Bivouac sibling continues on her winning way at Warwick Farm

Well-related Godolphin filly Sequinned continued a promising start to her career with a strong win at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, giving her sire Pinatubo another promising prospect.

The three-year-old, trained by Chris Waller, settled outside the leader before proving too strong in the closing stages of the 1200m race, scoring by half a length from stablemate Saffron Veil.

Zac Lloyd retained the ride after partnering Sequinned to victory at Randwick on July 29, with the filly showing a marked improvement from her first two appearances earlier this year.

Sequinned is a half-sister to three-time Group 1 winner Bivouac and stakes winner Coruscate, and is the seventh winner from eight runners produced by Dazzler.

Dazzler, a city winner by More Than Ready, is a half-sister to four-time Group 1 winner Guelph and was herself bred from Group 1 winner Camarilla.

The mare has a two-year-old daughter by Anamoe, Tucana, with Michael Freedman, while she also produced a filly by Cylinder last spring after taking a year off breeding, and Sequinned now looms as an encouraging addition to Pinatubo’s record at Darley NSW, where he stands for $27,500 this season.
