Brown granted Hong Kong release to ride Jimmysstar in Group 1

Incoming Hong Kong jockey Ethan Brown has been granted Jockey Club permission to return to Australia to ride Jimmysstar in a Group 1 race next month.

The Jockey Club granted Brown the release on May 30 to fly from Hong Kong to Brisbane to partner the Ciaron Maher-trained sprinter in the Kingsford-Smith Cup (1300m) at Eagle Farm on May 30.

Brown has been the regular jockey for Jimmysstar, who ran third in last Saturday’s All Aged Stakes at Randwick. He won the Group 1 C F Orr Stakes on him in the spring as well as finishing third in The Everest last October on the Per Incanto gelding behind Ka Ying Rising.
