Nacim Dilmi has been confirmed as the new trainer for Domeland, replacing Sara Ryan.
Ryan announced her intended departure in May and the Central Coast-based racing outfit has since been conducting a search for her replacement.
Dilmi has been an assistant trainer at Godolphin for the past eight years and has been heading up the Melbourne stables for soon-to-depart private trainer James Cummings.
“I’ve always wanted to be a trainer and with James Cummings going to Hong Kong it was the right time for me to step up,” Dilmi said.
“When Domeland rang me to offer me the job, it was really exciting.
“You always know when their horses are racing, and you can spot their red and yellow colours a mile away. I’ve been watching most of their runners and Domeland have some exciting horses that I’m looking forward to getting my hands on.”
Dilmi will start with Domeland on August 4.
