Saturday’s Victorian provincial race meeting has been transferred to Warracknabeal.

A track inspection conducted by Racing Victoria stewards on Friday afternoon found the Donald surface to be unsuitable for the meeting to go ahead with more rain forecast.

Racing Victoria subsequently made the call to transfer the nine-race card from Donald to Warracknabeal.

The Warracknabeal track is rated a Heavy 8 and some distance amendments have been made.

Meanwhile, Monday’s lone New South Wales meeting has been transferred from Quirindi to Scone.

The switch was made after a section of the Quirindi track near the 700 metres was deemed unsuitable for racing.

The switch saw only one change of distances, with a 1450-metre maiden shortened to 1400 metres.

Quirindi hasn’t held a meeting since early May, while Scone will back up from Friday’s meeting which was held of soft 5 track.
