Ex-VRC CEO Rosich to head up A-Leagues
Former Victoria Racing Club CEO Steve Rosich has been appointed as the incoming Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Professional Leagues, which runs the A-Leagues football competitions.
Rosich left the VRC in 2024, having announced his intention to depart in April of that year. He was eventually replaced by current CEO Kylie Rogers.
He spent four years with the VRC, overseeing a difficult period which included pandemic era shutdowns which significantly challenged the business models of racing clubs around Australia.
Since leaving the VRC he has been working as Managing Director of medical technology company BrainEye.
Rosich, who also served as CEO of Fremantle Football Club for 12 years, will begin his role in January.
The A-Leagues has undergone a serious of major challenges in recent years.
“Football in Australia and New Zealand has huge potential,” Rosich said.
“I know it will take hard work and a collective effort from the broader football ecosystem to help realise this opportunity, but it’s an incredibly exciting time for football in the region, and I am excited to lead the next phase of growth across the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Ninja A-League Women.”
