Magic Millions fields decided for 2YO Classic and 3YO Guineas

Final fields have been declared for the $3 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic and the $3 million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas, with two runners remaining on standby for the juvenile feature.

Iransofar, trained by Desleigh Forster, and Fine Sierra from the Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman stable have been named as emergencies for the two-year-old race.

Among the 16 confirmed starters in the 2YO Classic, 10 arrive with at least one career victory, including three unbeaten runners, while six are chasing a breakthrough win.

The 3YO Guineas has attracted a broad stable spread, with only Ciaron Maher, Kris Lees and Tony Gollan represented by more than one runner.

Bjorn Baker’s O’Ole will return to the Gold Coast seeking to add the Guineas to her 2YO Classic success from last year after finishing fourth at her most recent start.

Seventeen runners have accepted for the Guineas, one short of the 18-horse limit.

O’Ole’s stablemate Warwoven is a commanding favourite to win the 2YO Classic, while the Michael Freedman-trained Ninja is even shorter in pre-post betting to claim the Guineas.

Barrier draws for both features will be held on Tuesday.
