Magic Millions releases 354-strong weanling catalogue
A total of 354 weanlings have been catalogue for sale at the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale, including a rare offering by leading Australian sire Extreme Choice.

The catalogue for the 2026 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale, the foal sale which has produced Zoustar, Pierro, Stay Inside, Tropical Squall and Autumn Glow, has been released, outlining a broad and largely commercial offering ahead of the auction on the Gold Coast next month.
The sale, to be held on Sunday, 24 May, will feature 354 weanlings, with supplementary entries to be added closer to sale day.
This year’s catalogue covers progeny by 97 individual sires, with 18 first‑season stallions represented, giving buyers access to a cross‑section of proven commercial stallions and emerging names early in their stud careers.
Among the notable entries is the only weanling by Extreme Choice scheduled to be offered at public auction in the Southern Hemisphere in 2026.
Lot 245 is a colt by the Newgate star out of stakes-performed Spirit Of Boom mare Boomstress.
Weanlings in the catalogue are by a wide range of stallions currently prominent in Australia and internationally, including Anamoe, Extreme Choice, Home Affairs, I Am Invincible, Native Trail, Ole Kirk, Shinzo, Snitzel, Stay Inside, Too Darn Hot, Toronado and Wootton Bassett.
Depth is provided through the dam side of the catalogue, with 83 lots out of stakes‑performed mares.
Several Group‑winning mares will be represented through their progeny, including Serious Speed, Tycoon Tara, Wawail, Etana, Fasika, Night War, Renaissance Woman, Vergara, Celts and Fashion Shoot.
The catalogue also includes numerous close relations – half, three‑quarter and full siblings – to Group winners such as Chain Of Lightning, Madame Pommery, Femminile, Leicester, Gypsy Goddess, Heatherly, Quackerjack and Banana Queen, among others.
Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said the composition of the catalogue reflected consistent vendor support.
“The National Weanling Sale has built a strong reputation over time, and vendors have again committed quality stock to the sale,” Bowditch said.
“It offers buyers opportunities across a range of budgets and objectives, whether they are targeting resale, racing or longer‑term breeding prospects.”
