Pinnacles shows growth on and off the track
Perth Racing has confirmed that on-track crowds for the five days of The Pinnacles were up 15 per cent year-on-year.
The feature race series concluded last Saturday with the staging of the Gold Rush, capping off a successful five weeks.
“Our initial figures are indicating we are up 15 per cent in attendance across the five race days, led Railway Stakes Day up thirty per cent year on year,” Perth Racing CEO James Oldring said.
“I’m really happy with the atmosphere on course this year, the diversity in the crowd and everyone’s engagement.
“The product on and off the track was outstanding, the quality of the horses and the way the track played, made for really competitive races.”
Racing WA Chief Racing Officer David Hunter said off-course engagement was extremely strong as well thanks to RWWA’s broadcast strategy.
“The level of exposure we achieved through our broadcast partnership with the Seven Network, Racing.com, SKY and more recently SEN was outstanding,” he said.
“This year was easier than ever for fans around the country to engage with what was a five-week showcase of WA racing at its best.
“The quality of horses that travelled west is a strong endorsement of the TABtouch Pinnacles and the confidence leading trainers have in racing in WA.”
