TAB drops exacta commission on Saturday Group 1s through November 7

TAB has introduced its first commission-focussed initiative since the launch of One Pool with the takeout from exacta bets to be dropped to zero across key Group 1 races.

TAB has confirmed that its new offer, One Pool Xtra, includes Saturday’s Cox Plate and Spring Champion Stakes as well as the Golden Eagle, Coolmore Stud Stakes, Victoria Derby and Empire Rose Stakes on October 31 and the Champions Sprint, Champions Mile and Champions Stakes on November 7.

“The Exacta is one of the most popular exotic bets with TAB customers, especially in races with short favourites,” said David Beirne, Tabcorp’s general manager of trading. He called the offer another step in Tabcorp’s push to create more value for tote punters.

The promotion comes three weeks after One Pool went live on October 2. One Pool merged the NSW TAB, SuperTAB and UniTAB pools into a single national tote.
