Wallerama – Nine out of 10 aint bad

Australia’s biggest trainer Chris Waller is set to dominate the opening race at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, with nine of the 10 starters.

Waller, who recently surpassed 1000 starters for the season and currently has a nation-leading 132 winners, has been left with a vice-like grip on the 1300 metre three-year-old maiden.

He had nine of the original 12 runners, but two of the other entered horses from other stables have since been scratched.

It leaves the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained Jet as the only non-Waller runner in the race.

The one-time $1.7 million yearling United States is looking to break his maiden at start eight.

Waller has 15 runners across the six races.
