Peltzer has unearthed another promising two-year-old with homebred gelding I Show Speed doing just that at Canberra on Friday.

Trained by Todd Smart for owner-breeder Ben McAlister, I Show Speed settled on the pace in a 1080m open age maiden on the Acton circuit and sprinted clear in the straight to score by 1-½ lengths.

I Show Speed ($12), the first foal to race out of Bel Esprit mare Oaks who was also trained by Smart, defeated Your Magic ($5) and favourite Souk ($1.65).

The gelding, who was having his first start, is the third first crop winner for Twin Hills sire Peltzer.

Another gelding by Peltzer, the Patrick and Michelle Payne-trained Buccleuch, will be aiming for three straight wins when he runs at Flemington in the Listed Taj Rossi Series Final (1600m) on Saturday.

A son of So You Think, Peltzer will stand for a fee of $11,000 (inc GST) this year.
