ATC Foundation opens grants round for racing-linked charities

Registered charities connected to the NSW thoroughbred racing industry and community organisations are being invited to apply for funding through the Australian Turf Club Foundation’s 10th round of grants.

Applications opened on Monday and will close on September 11, with up to $150,000 to be distributed across a number of successful organisations.

Since its establishment in 2018, the ATC Foundation has provided almost $2 million in funding to more than 80 charitable organisations and racing participants.

The Foundation raises funds through official ATC merchandise sales, on-course fundraising initiatives including commemorative pin sales and saddle cloth auctions, as well as donations from ATC members.

ATC Foundation chair Caroline Searcy said organisations delivering projects that supported the NSW racing industry or benefited the wider community were encouraged to apply.

“The ATC Foundation is delighted to give back to the industry and local organisations every cent that is raised through related events and donations,” Searcy said.

“Racing has a proud tradition of helping those most in need and the ATC Foundation’s tenth round of grants will continue that generosity.”
