Caulfield Cup runners pass veterinary checks

Racing Victoria veterinarians have cleared 20 of the final 22 acceptors for Saturday’s $6.55 million Caulfield Cup following inspections.

Saint George, trained by Ciaron Maher, will undergo a further examination at Caulfield on race morning after being re-plated.

Green Spaces, prepared by Bjorn Baker, and second emergency Juja Kibo, also trained by Maher, will be examined tomorrow morning after arriving from Sydney.

The inspections form part of RV’s pre-race veterinary assessment of runners for the 2400-metre Group 1.
