Trained in Albany by Rebecca Bayliss, Final Siren makes his city debut on the weekend.
The three-year-old son of I'm All The Talk comes to town after going bang-and then bang again from the opening two starts of his career on home deck.
On debut Final Siren won in a canter when he took up the lead and spaced his nearest rival by six lengths to validate being sent out a hot favourite.
Second-up the margin not as great but the victory just as authoritative when eased down by jockey, Kyra Yuill, he scored by 3 ½ lengths from stable mate, Hot Chatter.
Understandably Bayliss doesn't want to project too far ahead, but after kicking off his career in impressive fashion, she's excited to see what Final Siren can do at Ascot.
"After his last run we've been pretty excited about it, but nervous too because it's a big deal," Bayliss told The Races WA.
"He's just done it so easily and Kyra (Yuill) has said both times she hasn't even tested him yet and doesn't know what's there.
"He's still so young, only a three-year-old, but there's so much improvement to come, it's been amazing.
"He's green and raw but, it's time, we've given him a few starts and it's time now to see what he can do."
It's been small baby steps, but Bayliss said racing in Perth will give her a better idea of what type of motor Final Siren has under the bonnet.
She's confident his engine won't misfire and he'll be competitive as he goes up against stronger opposition in the Amelia Park Plate (1000m).
Petula and Krysanova are coming out of stakes races, Plato or Plomo was a last-start winner while Let It Win Rupert and King Cartel have trial form.
If he comes out on top, Final Siren will improve his prizemoney by $43,840, almost doubling the $24,512 already pocketed from his two wins.
After almost slipping through her fingers in the sales ring, Bayliss says she's rapt to have kept hold of Final Siren.
"We picked him from the Mungrup dispersal sale a couple of years ago," Bayliss said.
"The mare (Dawinner) was in foal to I'm All The Talk so we purchased her.
"We liked I'm All The Talk's and she was a lovely mare.
"We actually had him at the sales (Magic Millions) and didn't get what we wanted for him, so he was passed in.
"I knew what I wanted to get and didn't, the reserve was around $50,000, but it's worked out quite well."
Final Siren has drawn barrier three in the Amelia Park Plate. Yuill maintains the mount.
Final Siren holds $3 TAB touch favouritism, firming from his opening quote of $3.70.
Krysanova and Petula are $4.
