Sword Of State filly in demand at NZB Online sale
A Sword Of State filly has secured the top price of the New Zealand Bloodstock National Online Yearling Sale.
The filly, offered by Curraghmore, sold for $70,000 to buyer iC5Zt26 and is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Force Of Will from an extended family which includes Group 1 winners Mr Quickie and Brew.
Cambridge Stud-based Sword Of State has made a strong start to his breeding career with three winners, including stakes winners Warwoven and Torture.
The Zousain colt out of Reward For Effort mare Trophies Galore was snapped up by Hong Kong Bloodstock for $63,500. He was offered by Highden Park.
Stephen Marsh and Dylan Johnson combined to pay $55,000 for a Satono Aladdin filly out of Listed-winning Savabeel mare Tabata, which was being sold by Curraghmore.
The National Online Yearling Sale was initially delayed by 24 hours after the Gavelhouse platform was brought down by a cyberattack.
