Five Tasmanian meetings added to Racing.com broadcast schedule
Tasracing has confirmed five Tasmanian thoroughbred meetings will be broadcast live on Racing.com during the final quarter of 2026.
The meetings form the second half of Tasracing’s annual allocation of 10 free-to-air meetings under its current media rights agreement with Sky Channel.
The Racing.com schedule includes Launceston night meetings on September 25, October 2, October 9 and November 20, followed by a Hobart meeting on December 27.
The November 20 Launceston meeting will launch the Tasmanian Summer Racing Festival and feature the Listed $150,000 Tasmanian Newmarket and the $150,000 3YO Cup, which will be run at Listed level for the first time.
Five Tasmanian meetings were broadcast on Racing.com during the first half of 2026, beginning with Devonport Cup Day in January.
The Launceston night racing season will begin on September 16 and will again be broadcast on Sky Thoroughbred Central.
The arrangement follows similar changes in Western Australia, where Racing and Wagering WA and the state’s racing clubs moved to broaden the distribution of local racing through Racing.com and 7Plus while retaining Sky coverage.
