Per Incanto plans confirmed for Little Avondale

Little Avondale Stud’s Per Incanto (USA) will stand a limited book in 2026 at an increased fee of NZ$75,000.

The durable son of Street Cry has produced nine individual Group One winners during his distinguished career., including multiple Group 1 winner Jimmysstar.

“Per Incanto is currently fifth on the Australian Sires’ Premiership and the only sire in the top 20 with a runner-to-winner strike rate above 50 per cent,” Little Avondale Stud general manager Sam Williams said.

“Three-time Group One winner Jimmysstar has been his flagship performer, while he’s also had five stakes winners and five stakes-placed runners this season.”

“He’s had three individual black-type two-year-olds, including Eurocanto, who won the Listed Maribyrnong Trial Stakes, and stakes placegetters Oak Lightning and Spellbound,” Williams said.

Per Incanto currently leads both the Centaine Award for combined New Zealand and Australian earnings and the Dewar Trophy for worldwide earnings.

His Blue Diamond Stakes-winning son Little Brose retired to Little Avondale in 2025 and stands in 2026 at $16,500 inc GST.

“He covered 140 mares last season and had 129 in foal, supported by the vast majority of New Zealand’s leading breeders,” Williams said.

“The Street Cry bloodline is dominant in Australia right now through Per Incanto and Street Boss, and that strength continues to be reflected commercially.”
