Sizzling heads to Tasmania
Magnum Park has confirmed that Group 1-winning stallion Sizzling will stand in Tasmania for the upcoming breeding season,
A son of champion sire Snitzel out of the General Nediym mare Admirelle, Sizzling was a high-class juvenile, headlined by victory in the G1 TJ Smith Stakes (now the JJ Atkins).
He is the sire of 215 individual winners, including two stakes winners, with progeny earnings exceeding $20 million.
Magnum Park principal Alexis Beadman said the acquisition represents a significant addition for the farm.
“We’ve admired Sizzling for a long time,” Beadman said. “He was an outstanding racehorse with genuine speed and toughness, and we believe he offers something very appealing for local breeders.”
“In addition to his race record and pedigree, he’s an impressive physical individual with strength, quality and athleticism, and he has settled in very well since arriving.”
Further details on Sizzling’s service fee and booking arrangements are expected to be announced in due course.
Sizzling has previously spent time at Newgate and Riverdene Studs.
