Tentyris’ half-sister Parcae wins on debut at Mornington
Blue Point filly Parcae delivered an immediate return at the races, adding another winner for Exceed And Excel mare Deity and the Freedman stable.
Parcae, a half-sister to dual Group 1 winner Tentyris, made a successful debut for Anthony and Sam Freedman in Thursday’s 1000-metre Sportsbet Fast Form Maiden Plate at Mornington.
Michael Dee rode the three-year-old Blue Point filly, the only debutant in the field, to victory on her first start.
Sam Freedman described Parcae as a genuine and forward young horse after the victory.
“She’s a very genuine filly. She’s probably been going through a bit of a growth spurt, I’d say, this prep,” Freedman told Racing.com..
“She’s really started to shoot up and strengthen up, which is a good sign.She’s always shown precocity from her two-year-old year. And the team have done a really good job. She’s going to have a bright future.”
“She’d be a very valuable filly now, but, potentially if we can get her to some black type races down the track, whether it’s this prep or next preparation, that’d be the ultimate goal.”
Parcae is the third foal from the three-time winner Deity, an Exceed And Excel daughter of Group 1-winning mare Divine Madonna.
