The Autumn Sun filly and half-sister to stakes winners jointly top Magic Millions online sale
Queensland trainer Steele Ryan has added lightly raced two-year-old Honeysuckle to his Deagon-based stable after purchasing the equal Magic Millions Digital Sale topper on Wednesday.
A The Autumn Sun half-sister to the stakes-placed Bowerman and a sister to the stakes-performed Horizons, Honeysuckle was bought for $30,000 at the June Digital auction, the same price that Wexford Miss.
Honeysuckle, who was owned by James Harron Bloodstock’s fillies syndicate and trained by Michael Freedman, was unplaced in three starts on the NSW provincial circuit.
Wexford Miss, meanwhile, was bought by Queensland-based agent Neil Jenkinson.
The Awtaad mare, who passed through a few stables during her career, is a sister to the Chris Waller-trained Group 2 winner Waterford and a half-sister to Wagga Cup winner Wicklow.
Syndicator Darby Racing, whose stable star Overpass ran third in Tuesday’s King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot for trainer Bjorn Baker, was also active in the Magic Millions Digital auction, paying $15,000 for a D’Argento yearling.
