Allison Sedgwick has been appointed as Nominations Manager for Yulong’s newly established Hunter Valley base.

Yulong confirmed last week that it had purchased Segenhoe and it will move some of its stallion operation into the thoroughbred heartland in New South Wales.

Alabama Express will headline a roster which will also feature Private Harry, Devil Night, Lucky Vega and Tagaloa.

Sedgwick had been working in a similar role, as Head of Sales, with Kia Ora, which confirmed last week it was merging its stallion operations with Vinery.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Yulong at such an exciting time,” she said.

“With the purchase of Segenhoe Stud, the development of a second world-class stallion farm in the Hunter Valley, and the arrival of two exciting new stallions, there is plenty to focus on.

“I’m very much looking forward to working with breeders this coming season and showcasing the depth and quality of Yulong’s young sires.”

The recruitment of Segdwick was welcomed by Yulong’s Chief Operating Officer, Sam Fairgray.

“Allison is an outstanding addition to our growing team and a key asset to Yulong’s continued development,” he said.
