Amazing Journey sold and set for Golden Eagle
Trainer Jamie Osborne has confirmed that Amazing Journey has been sold to race in Australia, with Ciaron Maher set to target the $10 million Golden Eagle with the northern hemisphere three-year-old after a private deal.
Osborne confirmed to UK media that the dual Ascot winner in July would be leaving his stable after a deal orchestrated by Maher’s Head Of Bloodstock, Will Bourne.
The gelding has left his Lambourn stable and is now going to quarantine alongside Harry Charlton’s Australian Bloodstock-owned Melbourne Cup hopeful Wine Dark Sea.
Amazing Journey, a son of Starspangledbanner, won the Moet & Chandon International Stakes over seven furlongs at Ascot last month, having won the Savills Handicap two weeks earlier.
