Queensland jockey Collis to ride in Mauritius

Young Queensland jockey Cody Collis has earned a contract to ride in Mauritius.

The 22-year-old, who has ridden 222 winners in Australia, will link with the Aqua Stallions Stables and trainer Shirish Narang to ride at the Champ de Mars-based race meetings.

Collis, with a 14 per cent winning strike rate over his career to date, had his last Australian race rides at the Sunshine Coast on May 1.

The arrival of Collis comes as Brazilian Manoel Nunes returns to Australia after a stint riding in Mauritius.

Nunes, who rode in South Australia upon the end of racing in Singapore, has relocated to Perth.
