Coolmore’s Kennedy joins forces with Ciaron Maher
Ciaron Maher Racing has appointed John Kennedy as its NSW bloodstock manager, with the former Coolmore Australia executive to start in the role in late August.
Kennedy grew up on his family’s farm in County Limerick, Ireland, graduated from the Irish National Stud Management Course and began his career with Yeomanstown Stud before working at Woods Edge Farm in Kentucky.
He later returned to Ireland as stud manager at Castlehyde Stud, one of Coolmore’s flagship farms, before relocating to Australia in 2019.
Kennedy has spent the past seven years in senior roles with Coolmore Australia, progressing from stud manager to racing and bloodstock manager.
During his time at Coolmore Australia, he was involved in the management, promotion and racing careers of leading stallions and racehorses while developing relationships across the Australian and international bloodstock industry.
Kennedy will be based in Sydney, where he will oversee bloodstock operations in NSW and support the stable’s continued growth in the state.
