Equinox yearlings headline stellar JRHA Select Sale catalogue

The first yearlings by Japanese champion Equinox will headline a star-studded catalogue for the 2026 JRHA Select Sale at Northern Horse Park in Hokkaido on July 13 and 14.

A total of 270 yearlings and 252 foals have been catalogued for the two-day auction, making it one of the biggest editions of the sale in recent years.

Fourteen yearlings by the six-time Group 1 winner Equinox have been entered, while the foal section also includes offspring by Coolmore stallion Auguste Rodin.

There are also yearlings by top-class European performers like Ace Impact, Adayar, Baaeed, Benbatl, No Nay Never, Poetic Flare, Saxon Warrior, Siskin, St Mark’s Basilica and Wootton Bassett catalogued in the sale.

The catalogue also features progeny out of elite international racemares, including former Australian stars Amphitrite, Funstar, Youngstar and Yankee Rose, the dam of highly decorated mare Liberty Island.
