Ka Ying Rising keeps his four-point lead in the October world rankings, while a second Arc victory lifts Daryz to 128.
Ka Ying Rising has retained his position as the world’s highest-rated racehorse with the October edition of the LONGINES World’s Best Racehorse Rankings retaining the David Hayes-trained gelding on 135.

He reached 135 with his September 6 win in the Group 3 HKSAR Chief Executive’s Cup Handicap at Sha Tin, a record sprint rating that took him past Black Caviar. The next-best horse in the sprint category is the William Haggas-trained Almeraq (GB) on 123, 12 points behind.
Romantic Warrior, Hong Kong’s other representative near the top, is joint fifth on 126 with Item (GB). Bow Echo is fourth on 127.
Daryz gives trainer Francis-Henri Graffard and owner Aga Khan Studs three of the top 16 places. Calandagan (IRE) and Erdenali (FR) are both joint 14th on 124.
The next edition of the rankings will be published on November 12, the first to take in Ka Ying Rising’s Everest defence.
