Monarch Racing secures Aleppo Pine
Stakes-placed and metro-winning three-year-old Aleppo Pine has topped the first session of the latest Inglis Digital Sale, selling to Monarch Racing Syndications for $100,000.
The son of Blue Point, who won races for James Cummings and Lindsay Park and was placed in a Listed Redoute’s Choice Stakes, is a half-brother to Group 2 winners Savatiano and Vilani and is closely related to Group 1 winner Attica.
He was one of 10 Godolphin horses offered as part of the sale.
Crocodile, who was the first southern hemisphere winner for Ghaiyyath in May last year, sold to Blueblood Thoroughbreds for $80,000, while Bayou Music, a winning son of Street Boss, is headed to Clarken Bloodstock for $70,000.
Officiate, a city-winning son of Justify, will join Aaron Bain’s stable after fetching $60,000.
The second session of the sale, which ends on Thursday, is already set to eclipse the first with a $450,000 bid live on Group 1 winner Affaire A Suivre.
