Stakes‑performed fillies, mares boost National Broodmare Sale catalogue
Momentum continues to build ahead of this month’s Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast, with 10 new stakes‑winning or stakes‑placed fillies and mares added to the catalogue.
Among the latest highlights is the juvenile Free Flying, a stakes‑performed daughter of champion sire Snitzel, offered through the Newington Farm Premium Consignment. Free Flying was second on debut in the Listed Magic Millions Debutant Stakes at Caulfield and later ran fourth in the Listed Merson Cooper Stakes.
Free Flying joins the same draft as close relation and fellow juvenile stakes performer La Gitana, who will contest Saturday’s Listed Woodlands Stakes at Scone.
The expanded catalogue also welcomes an impressive group of proven stakes performers, including Group‑performed fillies Kitty Flash, Phenom, Cavity Bay, Cosmic Ride, Crickets Chirping and recent Eagle Farm winner Canara, as well as a Zoustar half‑sister to Doomben 10,000 contender Napoleonic.
The broodmare section has been bolstered by six new entries, including imported stakes winner Always inthe Munnywho is in foal to I Am Invincible after producing a Group Three‑placed juvenile with her first colt. Fellow additions include Melbourne stakes winner Oz Empress, carrying her second foal by Ole Kirk, and proven Group producer Skagerrak, also in foal to I Am Invincible.
New Zealand stakes winner Not Guilty adds further depth to the international virtual session, joining the sale in foal to emerging sire Super Seth.
