Riches begins chief executive role at Dubbo Turf Club

The Dubbo Turf Club has announced the appointment of Cameron Riches as its new General Manager.

Riches has an extensive background across club administration, racing operations, governance, event delivery and track management and joins the Dubbo Turf Club after most recently serving as General Manager of the Cairns Jockey Club in North Queensland. He was also in the role of Racing, Operations and Track Manager at the Darwin Turf Club.

“I’m incredibly excited to commence with the Dubbo Turf Club and to become part of the wider Dubbo community,” Riches said. “The club has excellent facilities, a passionate racing following and enormous potential for continued growth both on and off the track.”

He said he was impressed by the opportunities to build the club’s profile and enhance race day experiences for members, sponsors and patrons.

Dubbo Turf Club President Tim Cullenward welcomed Riches to the role.

“Cameron brings a strong mix of racing industry knowledge, operational experience and proven leadership,” Cullenward said. “His experience in delivering major carnivals, strengthening governance and building industry partnerships made him an outstanding candidate.”

Riches will oversee the club’s 2026 racing calendar, including the Dubbo Gold Cup Day, Golden Eagle & Derby Day and eight additional race meetings.
