Arctic Glamour joins Bangaloe Stud broodmare band

Bangaloe Stud’s Julia Ritchie has continued her investment in breeding stock by purchasing stakes-winning and Group 1 Coolmore Classic-placed mare Arctic Glamour for $640,000 via the Inglis Digital sale on Wednesday.

The former Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou-trained Arctic Glamour, a daughter of former Darley shuttler Frosted, is a half-sister to Group 3 winner Waging War and was the highest-priced lot in the late July sale. Arctic Glamour is out of Fartoo Flashy, a daughter of Coolmore Stud’s influential European champion sire Galileo.

The rising six-year-old mare will join the likes of Coeur Volante, a daughter of Proisir owned in partnership with Widden Stud, Thalassophile and Complicit in the new-look Bangaloe Stud broodmare band.

Ritchie has also purchased breeding rights in stallions Anamoe and Extreme Choice this year.

Meanwhile, the second-highest-priced lot of the Inglis Digital sale was another broodmare, stakes-winning Monegal who is in foal to Golden Slipper-winning sire Stay Inside. SHe was bought by Sheralee Racing for $260,000.
