Described as the ultimate destination for WA racing information and data, racingwa.com.au will offer enhanced content and industry-related services for punters, owners, trainers, jockeys and drivers.

It will feature a selection of WA news and updates for the three codes that is designed to appeal to all racing fans.

Racing WA chief racing officer David Hunter said the new website’s enhanced, user-friendly connection of content and data would benefit participants, punters and racing enthusiasts.

“Essentially, the revamped website will be a one-stop shop for everything racing in WA,” he said.

“We’ve already transitioned all thoroughbred data from the old Customer Racing Information System to the new platform and added harness data as well.

“The next step is to bring greyhound racing data onboard, so everything is integrated in one place.

“We’ve also brought together all industry essentials, like forms, payments, support programs, and animal welfare standards, in one convenient location.”

The homepage now prominently displays the WA racing calendar, allowing users to toggle between different racing codes.

“We wanted to create a seamless and engaging experience for our users,” Hunter said.

“Features like cross-populated thoroughbred news articles, which link directly to the profiles of horses, jockeys, and trainers, offer a dynamic and personalised experience.”

WA deal adds up to extended racing coverage on 7Plus platform
West Australian race meetings will reach a broader audience after the state’s thoroughbred industry and the Seven Network agreed to a broadcast partnership.

Racing WA plans to enhance harness race data with profile pages for horses, drivers, and trainers and integrate greyhound racing data into the calendar, completing the site’s comprehensive racing coverage of the state’s three racing codes.

The website relaunch comes after the WA thoroughbred industry reached an agreement last week to broadcast its race meetings to a new audience.

In a deal with the Seven Network, all WA gallops meetings will be streamed on 7Plus.

The arrangement will start on September 16.
