Larneuk adds City Of Troy’s full brother Unbelievable
The Victorian stud will stand the well-related son of Justify at a private fee, backed by 20 mares from his Hong Kong-based owner.
Larneuk Stud has added Unbelievable, a full brother to 2024 European Horse of the Year City Of Troy, to its stallion roster at Euroa.
The son of Justify will stand at a private fee, with his Hong Kong-based owner retaining full ownership and committing 20 mares to support his first book. Bloodstock agent Lok Lor brokered the arrangement.
Larneuk’s Neville Murdoch said the stallion offered Victorian breeders access to a pedigree built around Justify and Galileo.
“He is the only son of Justify standing in Victoria and is from a Group I winning mare by Galileo, so the bloodlines are all there for an owner breeder looking to dream big,” Murdoch said.
Bred by the Coolmore partners, Unbelievable raced as Bertinelli in Europe for Aidan O’Brien. He recorded two wins and three placings from five starts at two and three, including victory in the London Gold Cup Handicap at Newbury.
Sold to Hong Kong and renamed Unbelievable, he finished fifth in the Hong Kong Derby and third in the Group 3 Queen Mother Memorial Cup. A tendon injury interrupted his career before he was transferred to Anthony and Sam Freedman in Australia. He had two further starts before the injury recurred, prompting his retirement.
