New era for WA racing radio broadcasting as SENTurf launches

Sports Entertainment Network has taken control of Racing and Wagering Western Australia’s audio broadcasting assets, rebranding TABradio as SENTurf from Monday.

The newly launched SENTurf positions itself as WA’s dedicated home for racing content while also expanding local sports coverage. The network will operate alongside SEN WA and SENTrack 657am, with shared programming to give audiences statewide access to both racing and general sports.

SEN WA Breakfast will now run from 6am to 9am AWST across both SEN WA and SENTurf. SENTurf will focus on “chasing, pacing and racing” while integrating live and local sports content tailored for West Australian audiences.

The move comes just months after SEN’s parent company, Sports Entertainment Group Limited, secured Victoria’s RSN in a $3 million deal, further expanding the group’s national racing footprint.

Now that the RWWA sale is complete, and TABradio is fully integrated into SEN’s network, it gives the company a stronger platform to deliver racing and sports coverage across WA, SEN Boss Craig Hutchison said.

“This marks a new era for racing and sports audio in Western Australia,” Hutchison said of the launch.

“We’re proud to deliver programming that reflects the passion of WA audiences.”
